I was born and raised in Aylmer, Ontario. During public school and high school, I’ve always had a passion for animals and have always wanted to work with them. During high school, I took co-op at a veterinary practice in my hometown and that’s when it really showed me that I wanted to become an RVT!
I then went to St Clair College for the Veterinary Technician Program in 2019 and graduated in April of 2021. And ever since then, my love for this career has kept growing. I started at Elgin Animal Hospital during my last month of college when I was required to do placement. I fell in love with the practice and the team and I soon returned in May, a month after graduating. I took my VTNE (Registry) exam in August and became a Registered Veterinary Technician!
Growing up I’ve always been around animals. My very first pet was a cat named Daisy, she could be temperamental but I loved her to pieces. Once I got to college, during my last semester, I adopted my very first Dog, she is a 2-year-old Beagle. She is the best companion and so loving to me and my family and I’m glad I got to take her home with me.
